El Tramo 4A Fase 1B de Itagüí será la próxima obra que entregará Metroplús a la comunidad. Hablamos con la nueva directora, que apenas lleva mes y medio en la entidad, y entregó detalles de los proyectos futuros.

Por la avenida El Poblado, Metroplús conectará a Envigado con el centro de Medellín. Ese es uno de los proyectos futuros de la entidad. Además, es una deuda que tiene Metroplús con la comunidad de El Poblado. Así lo expresó Katherine Manco Quiroz, la nueva gerente.

Se convirtió en la tercera persona en ocupar el cargo en el actual cuatrienio, y la octava persona que ha ocupado este cargo en la entidad desde 2017, año en que se conformó Metroplús. Hablamos con ella sobre los nuevos proyectos que está gestionando, las obras que entregará Metroplús próximamente a la comunidad y sus consideraciones con el componente verde, entre otros temas más.

¿Cómo recibió a Metroplús?

Estoy en la entidad desde el 5 de julio de ese año. La verdad, la recibimos con un flujo financiero sostenible por esta vigencia. De igual forma, seguimos trabajando de manera articulada con los municipios socios con el fin de determinar los proyectos que tenemos pendientes y seguir gestionando otros más. El propósito es que Metroplús siga siendo reconocida, en el ámbito nacional y departamental, como una entidad que busca promover la movilidad inteligente en el territorio.

¿Cómo cree usted que se debe lograr armonía entre el cemento y lo verde en cada proyecto de Metroplús?

Para nosotros es importante unir el cemento con lo verde, porque queremos hacer unas compensaciones ambientales justas, y que no todo sea cemento en las obras de Metroplús. Entonces, en cada una de estas intervenciones tenemos un buen equipo de trabajo desde el componente ambiental, también desde lo forestal, y haremos lo humanamente posible para hacer lo menos traumático en estas obras a la naturaleza.

De hecho, en territorio de Envigado contamos con unos pasos seguros para nuestra fauna, ardillas y otros animales que necesitan la conexión ecosistémica en estos espacios.

¿Cuáles son las futuras obras de Metroplús que impactarán a la Comuna 14 – El Poblado?

En Metroplús queremos realizar una operación temprana del sistema, por lo cual estamos proyectando la construcción de cinco nuevas estaciones en la jurisdicción de Medellín. Estas estaciones irían: dos sobre la avenida Guayabal; en el sector La Frontera; al lado del Club Campestre de Medellín y otra más sobre la avenida El Poblado.

¿Cuál es para usted el proyecto que Metroplús le debe a la comunidad de El Poblado?

Como proyección, tenemos que darle continuidad a Metroplús y conectar la Troncal Sur, en jurisdicción de Envigado y en continuidad por el barrio El Poblado. Se trata de la conexión con la Troncal Avenida Oriental, pero para esto sí necesitamos primero limpiar nuestro CONPES vigente, y solicitar un nuevo CONPES con la Nación, ya que sabemos que la intervención sobre la avenida Guayabal sería una intervención de grandes proporciones en el tema económico.

¿La obra que Metroplús entregará próximamente?

Queremos lograr la conexión entre la Troncal Sur y la Troncal de Medellín; también queremos darle continuidad al proyecto de Itagüí. En este momento, estamos culminando obras hasta tiendas Metro de Itagüí, pero queremos conectar, o darle continuidad, con dos frentes más de trabajo. Estos serían: de tiendas Metro en el barrio Santa María La Nueva y de Santa María La Nueva a Ditaires. Con ello buscamos generar una nueva variante para el territorio, que ayudará a la movilidad del sur del Valle de Aburrá y descongestionará parte de las vías céntricas del municipio de Itagüí.
