Una delegación de representantes de 10 municipios del Paraguay, específicamente del Departamento Central y del bajo Chaco, visitó la región del Oriente de Antioquia. La visita se realizó entre los días 5 y 10 de junio, en el marco del Programa de Cooperación Triangular entre Municipios del Paraguay, la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (FACEN) de la Universidad Nacional de Asunción y el municipio de El Carmen de Viboral de Colombia con la financiación de la Unión Europea.

El proyecto denominado “Ñasê tenonde gotyo: Comunidades resilientes, inclusivas y sostenibles en Paraguay”, se desarrolla con el objetivo de reconocer y buscar replicar buenas prácticas desarrolladas por los socios en sus territorios; este aspecto constituye uno de los elementos centrales del programa “Alianza por unas ciudades sostenibles”.

La Delegación Nacional estuvo encabezada por la Intendenta de Mariano Roque Alonso, e integrada por el Intendente de Capiatá, el Decano de la FACEN, expertos y técnicos del proyecto, quienes estuvieron acompañados por la embajadora de la República del Paraguay en Colombia, Sophia López Garelli y funcionarios de la Embajada.

El programa abarcó una amplia agenda de presentación de las buenas prácticas del municipio colombiano como el Plan Municipal de Cultura 2016 – 2026 del Instituto de Cultura El Carmen de Viboral, el Festival Internacional de Teatro El Gesto Noble, el Mercado Campesino y la feria de emprendimiento; asimismo, se realizó un recorrido por los talleres de alfarería. Cabe resaltar que una de las principales riquezas del municipio carmelitano es la industria de la loza, que además es Patrimonio Inmaterial de Colombia.

Igualmente, visitaron otros municipios del Oriente Antioqueño y la ciudad de Medellín, donde realizaron un recorrido por la oficina de MetroPlús: “Movilidad Inteligente”.

Al momento de impulsar la integración cultural se vivenció una actividad denominada “El café se encuentra con el mate y el tereré”. En la ocasión, los artesanos del Carmen de Viboral mostraron lo mejor de su artesanía como también emprendimientos locales. Por su parte, los municipios del Paraguay compartieron el ñanduti, el ao po’i, tejidos realizados por las comunidades indígenas en Mariano Roque Alonso, entre otros, acompañado por la gastronomía nacional y bebidas con base en la yerba mate.

La visita permitió la profundización de los socios de esta cooperación en el conocimiento in situ de las buenas prácticas llevadas a cabo en El Carmen de Viboral, lo que facilita continuar con la transferencia de conocimientos entre los mismos, además de conocer otras experiencias representativas de la región del Oriente Antioqueño y el Valle de Aburrá.
