Así lo prometió su gerente, Jaime Alberto Garzón, quien también afirmó que los actuales trabajos en Envigado van cumpliendo cronogramas y se terminarían en agosto.

Un túnel peatonal y el último tramo de actualización de redes subterráneas son las dos grandes intervenciones con las cuales se deberán concluir los prolongados trabajos de Metroplús luego del estribo occidental del puente de la Aguacatala, justo en la calle 12 Sur (al lado de la Fábrica de Licores de Antioquia), que en los últimos dos años han incluido la vecina carrera 51 y la conexión con la avenida 80.

Una vez concluidas dichas intervenciones en las próximas semanas, se daría comienzo a la pavimentación final y a las anheladas obras de paisajismo, con lo que se espera que este paisaje percibido por muchos como “de eterna obra” concluya para bien de la movilidad en ese estratégico sector, vital para el tráfico hacia y desde nuestra comuna 14.

Según el gerente de Metroplús, Jaime Alberto Garzón, el 26 de mayo próximo se entregará por fin esa obra, cuyos antecedentes datan de la década pasada.

Un parón ocasionado por inconvenientes legales del primer contratista acabó en abril de 2021, cuando se reanudaron los trabajos que en un primer momento debían acabar este 19 de marzo.

“AGUACATALA SERÁ UN GRAN NODO DE TRANSFERENCIA, CON ESTACIÓN DE METRO, DE METROPLÚS, LA DEL FUTURO METRO DE LA 80, OTRA DE ENCICLA, MÁS LA PROYECTADA DEL TREN DEL RÍO”.

“Tuvimos que pedir una ampliación del plazo por la afectación invernal del año pasado, la demora en algunos trámites por parte de entidades externas y por cambios en los diseños iniciales”, explicó el titular de Metroplús, citando de manera especial el nuevo túnel peatonal o paso soterrado que conecta ambos costados de la calle 12 Sur entre sí y con el acceso a la futura estación Aguacatala, que tendrá el sistema de solo buses.

Dicho túnel implicó una adición presupuestal de $10.460 millones aportados por el ministerio de Transporte, lo que elevó el presupuesto global de esta obra hasta los $38.491 millones. La prórroga fue solicitada el 20 de enero y, a la fecha, de acuerdo con información suministrada por la misma empresa, la ejecución supera el 84 %.

En el tramo 2B de Metroplús en Envigado se realizó una tala y un trasplante de árboles que estaban autorizados por resolución del Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá (AMVA), los cuales interferían con la construcción del separador central. El traslado se hizo en el mismo separador.

“Nos falta terminar el costado norte de la calle 12 Sur con carrera 51, donde estamos cambiando todas las redes subterráneas (alcantarillado, acueducto, gas). Del nuevo túnel peatonal, que iniciamos en agosto del año pasado, ya acabamos su estructura, tipo box coulvert, de 28 metros de largo; falta el acceso sur. Apenas acabemos con eso, se pavimentará la calle 12 Sur, que está encima”, puntualizó Garzón.

El llamado tramo 2B de Metroplús en Envigado, de 325 metros sobre la carrera 43A, entre los establecimientos comerciales Pecositas y Palogrande, avanza en un 17 %, cumpliendo con el cronograma. Según el gerente Garzón, estaría listo el 3 de agosto. “Estamos solicitando al ministerio de Transporte que nos permita ampliar el contrato del actual constructor, para que también haga el tramo que falta, el 2C, con 125 metros de Palogrande a San Marcos. Eso nos facilitará arrancar su acometida luego del 2B, para ojalá entregarlo en diciembre”. El corredor envigadeño de Metroplús consta de 3.7 km, desde Las Casitas hasta el Euro (La Frontera).
