Empresa anunció que el tramo que comenzó a construirse en 2017 ya no se entregará en marzo sino en mayo. ¿Será esta la vencida?

Los vecinos de la calle 12 Sur, en la Aguacatala, en la que por seis años se han desarrollado las obras de un tramo de Metroplús, han aprendido a ver el vaso medio lleno según las preguntas que les hagan sobre la construcción que se realiza entre polvo, ruido de carros, maquinaria y gritos de obreros. Aunque una de tantas promesas decía que esta vez todo iba estar listo en marzo, el momento de ver al fin la obra terminada se postergará, una vez más, al menos dos meses.

Resaltan que por lo menos el costado sur de la obra y casi la mitad del costado norte –que permite conectar la avenida Guayabal con la Aguacatala– ya se habilitaron para la circulación vehicular. También hacen lo mismo con la nueva capa de asfalto que se comenzó a poner desde finales de 2022 y que por fin “enterró” ese aspecto que tenía la avenida de carrera de obstáculos por cuenta de 21 tapas de alcantarillas que quedaron resaltadas con pintura amarilla.

Pero el más reciente anuncio de la empresa frenó en seco la ilusión de nunca más ver telas naranjadas en esa esquina neurálgica de la 80: las obras ya no finalizarán en marzo sino que se tomarán mínimo otros dos meses.

En una distribuidora cercana, la sola mención de una nueva demora hizo que las trabajadoras torcieran los ojos. Su silencioso reclamo no es para menos pues en sus cuentas, cerca del 50% de la clientela dejó de ir al negocio por las complicaciones que traía llegar a la zona. “Ahora mejor los despachamos por domicilio”, apuntó una de ellas mientras que de fondo una clienta se quejaba porque para llegar al local estaba dando vueltas desde temprano.

No muy lejos de allí, en otro almacén están a la expectativa de que el proyecto cumpla esta nueva fecha pues temen que por el cerramiento en lona que tendrá el establecimiento su clientela deje de llegar. Sin embargo, no todos critican de forma tan dura al proyecto y su ejecución. La encargada de una de las reposterías de la zona indicó que —pese a estar en uno de los frentes de obras más activos en el que el ambiente llega a ser ensordecedor— el escenario que le ha tocado vivir por tanto tiempo es parte de eso que llaman progreso y por eso es consciente que se debe esperar más para poder ver los resultados.

“Retraso solo llega al 7%”

Metroplús indicó que desde que la Unión Temporal del Sur asumió las riendas de la construcción del proyecto, el 19 de abril de 2021, el tramo de la 12 Sur presenta un avance del 84,86% en las obras civiles viales que también incluyen el tratamiento de la quebrada La Jabalcona y la adecuación de redes de servicio público.

Según la entidad, el cronograma solo tiene un retraso del 7% en la ejecución, lo que se debe principalmente a los cambios en diseños, el clima, así como las demoras en trámites con entidades externas para obtener permisos o decisiones esenciales para continuar la construcción.

“Esperamos terminar la pavimentación del costado sur esta semana. Luego seguiremos con el costado norte y sus dos carriles del tramo entre la 80 y el paso peatonal y sus tres carriles del tramo que va hasta Guayabal. Somos conscientes que esa obra se anunció que finalizaría en los últimos días de enero, pero principalmente por el tema de lluvias se dio ese retraso”, anunció Metroplús.

Frente a la nueva prórroga, la empresa admitió que si bien la obra estaba prevista para entregarse en septiembre de 2022, en enero se pidió otra prórroga para que el proyecto fuera hasta el final de marzo de 2023. Pese a ello, explicó Metroplús, los retos que ha traído la construcción del soterrado peatonal, una estructura en forma de cajón con una longitud de 28 metros para conectar el sur de la estación con el costado norte, han obligado a pedir otro plazo.

“La obra del soterrado peatonal es muy necesaria porque a este punto va a llegar el Metroplús con la conexión Itagüí-Envigado, el metro de La 80 con su estación Aguacatala y la nueva estación de Encicla. Es decir que llegarán cerca de 250.000 usuarios a los que hay que garantizarles su paso seguro a través del soterrado”, añadieron.

Según Metroplús, otro asunto es que los recursos necesarios para la finalización de las obras, unos $8.000 millones aportados por el Distrito, apenas pudieron transferirse a finales de 2022, lo que también causó que el avance en obra no se diera en el tiempo estipulado.

“Si nosotros hubiésemos dejado el proyecto como estaba, que era sin el soterrado, lo habríamos terminado entre septiembre de 2022 y marzo de 2023”, añadió la empresa.

Desde el Metroplús les solicitaron a los usuarios paciencia y aunque admiten algunas críticas, también piden que se reconozca el compromiso en rescatar un proyecto que estuvo paralizado por 20 meses, y que esperan culminar en el tiempo establecido para darle paso al nodo de transporte en el que se convertirá.

Aún así, otro de los transeúntes de la zona mostró su escepticismo infundado en la parálisis y las prórrogas anteriores. Y aunque admite que en los frentes de obra se están viendo más trabajadores “dándole a la pala”, no cree que esté terminado en mayo. “Apostemos a que acaben en julio. Pero bueno, ¡Qué al menos lo terminen a ver si se acaba este polvero!”, apuntó
