Iniciaron las obras del tramo 2B de Metroplús, en la carrera 43 A, de Envigado, este sábado 6 de marzo, lo que avivó el tira y afloje entre los colectivos ambientalistas y la administración del municipio del Sur del Valle de Aburrá.

El alcalde de Envigado, Braulio Espinosa, expresó que con esto se está dando cumplimiento a la más reciente sentencia del Tribunal Administrativo de Antioquia, en el que se dejó en claro que “no se aprueba la medida cautelar que había suspendido la obra del tramo 2B del Metroplús”, así, se procedió a reanudar los trabajos en la vía.

Para precisar, el fallo fue dado en segunda instancia del Tribunal Administrativo de Antioquia, con el cual se revocó la medida cautelar ordenada por el Juzgado 13 Administrativo Oral de Medellín, que suspendió a finales de 2020 el contrato del tramo 2B.

Lo que prosigue en el calendario de la obra, es la construcción de un tercer carril y un paradero de buses sobre este tramo de 900 metros, desde Palo Grande hasta la Frontera, continuando con la pretroncal del sur en Envigado.

Al destacar que su administración recibió de manera muy positiva este fallo, el alcalde de Envigado, precisó que con el reinicio de las obras del Metroplús, “se está ayudando a que las pérdidas o mayor costo de la obra no siga incrementando, consecuencia que ocasionaría que los envigadeños tengan que asumir mayor valor en las obras”.

Algo que Samir Alonso Murillo, gerente (e) de Metroplús, confirmó al expresar: “Esta es una obra importante, porque traerá mejor movilidad al Sur del Valle de Aburrá. Al reactivar la obra, dejamos de perder entre $13.000 y $14.000 millones, recurso que van a provenir de la ciudadanía”.

No obstante, los colectivos ambientalistas volvieron a sentar su protesta ante la construcción de este tramo que, recordemos, una semana después de que el Tribunal Administrativo de Antioquia revocó la medida cautelar, se produjo la tala de árboles, que ha sido el caballito de protesta de los ambientalistas.

La administración de Envigado, insistió en que la obra traerá un transporte público eficiente y eficaz, y que a futuro aliviará la situación caótica de movilidad que se viene presentando sobre la Avenida de El Poblado.

“No es justo que se aumente en más de una hora de recorrido por la suspensión de una obra que no es para un particular, sino que es para todos”, finalizó Braulio Espinosa.
