Los hallazgos de vasijas y demás elementos arqueológicos en las obras son todavía muy novedosos para los proyectos de infraestructura y especialmente para la comunidad cercana. Confusión con fosas comunes, caletas y demás artilugios de la época del narcotráfico son el primer imaginario al referirse a elementos encontrados bajo tierra, sin embargo, en nuestras obras hemos rescatados elementos de más de 2.000 años de antigüedad que permiten ampliar la perspectiva histórica del municipio.
Sin duda, y aunque retrasen la entrega de las obras, llevar a cabo este proceso con rigor y bajo todos los protocolos del Instituto Colombiano de Antropología e Historia – ICANH, ha añadido valor al patrimonio histórico de la zona donde se desarrollan las actividades.
Estos son, a grandes rasgos, lo elementos encontrados en el Tramo 2A de Envigado:
Periodo Prehispánico
7 enterramientos de vasijas con restos óseos humanos y más de 6.000 elementos de cultura material como fragmentos de cerámica y herramientas de piedra, los cuales datan de un momento entre los años 416 y 556 de la era cristiana.
Finales del periodo Colonial hasta mediados de 1960
50 acequias para la conducción de aguas servidas y potables. Son diversas en sus formas, tamaños, materiales y profundidades, lo que genera interés en su estudio para comprender la función y antigüedad precisa. Se destaca la hallada en la Calle 38 Sur, por su tamaño y forma abovedada.
Periodo Republicano hasta mediados del siglo XX
3 reductos de acequias, dos líneas de atanores (cañería de agua, construida en tubos de barro cocido), un aljibe antiguo (Depósito grande, generalmente bajo tierra, para recoger y conservar el agua, especialmente de lluvia) y una estructura arquitectónica en adobe macizo.
Es necesario resaltar que todos estos elementos serán sometidos a estudios de laboratorio para medir su tiempo y uso con exactitud. Posteriormente quedarían en custodia del Municipio de Envigado para su exposición y divulgación, si así lo deciden.
