DESPUÉS DE 7 AÑOS, JAMES GALLEGO, GERENTE DE METROPLÚS DESTRABA LA OBRA
El fallo del Tribunal Administrativo de Antioquia, que revoca la medida cautelar para dar continuidad al tramo 2B de la carrera 43 A, suspendido por 7 años, es el resultado de la argumentación de los recursos interpuestos por Metroplús, el municipio de Envigado, el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá y el coadyuvante.
Como lo ha expresado en diversas ocasiones el gerente de la entidad, James Gallego, el proyecto cuenta con el permiso ambiental de la autoridad competente como lo es el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá, quien autorizó el aprovechamiento forestal para la tala de algunos individuos, reubicación y reposición, lo que permite mitigar y compensar el impacto generado por la obra. A partir de la fecha el municipio de Envigado deberá adelantar las intervenciones autorizadas para dar continuidad a la obra civil.
Beneficios de la obra:
El tramo 2B, que comprende 0.9 km desde Palo Grande hasta la Frontera, continuando con la pretroncal del sur en Envigado, está concebido como un proyecto de Movilidad Inteligente y Sostenible, pues además de ofrecer beneficios directos a sus usuarios, trae consigo una mejor calidad de vida, así como bondades para la movilidad en general, las cuales se derivan en procesos graduales de descongestión en las vías, mayor eficiencia y rapidez del transporte por las paradas exclusivas, control de flota, optimización de la semaforización, integración con el Metro y las rutas alimentadoras y por ende, una reducción sustancial en las tarifas y en los tiempos de viaje con respecto al transporte público convencional por la utilización de carriles exclusivos o preferenciales, donde el sistema tendrá prioridad en la circulación.
La infraestructura del sistema tiene además un diseño incluyente, el cual cuenta con rampas de acceso a las plataformas para personas con movilidad reducida, tabletas braille para la población con discapacidad visual, áreas de espacio público, renovación urbano paisajística y senderos para brindar una circulación segura y cómoda para los peatones.
Una de las principales preocupaciones de Metroplús es mitigar el impacto ambiental que trae consigo la construcción de las obras, es por ello que se construyeron los parques La Fecundidad y La Heliodora, en los que se trasplantaron un buen número de árboles; con el reinicio de la obra se continuará con la siembra de una gran diversidad de especies de flora y la instalación de 5 pasos de fauna silvestre que aportarán a la conectividad ecológica.
El mejoramiento ambiental se percibirá de manera gradual, pues la utilización de transporte con combustibles limpios permitirá una reducción de emisiones gases de efecto invernadero CO2, CH. y N20, lo cual beneficiará no sólo a los usuarios directos del sistema sino a los habitantes del Valle de Aburrá.
James Gallego, gerente de Metroplús aclara que este tramo es sólo parte de un proyecto de región que involucra a tres municipios; pasa por la Aguacatala y cuando se complete unirá a Itagüí y Medellín; por ello son muchos los beneficios que traerá en materia de movilidad y desarrollo para el sur del Valle de Aburrá.
