Ya van 7 años de retrasos en las obras del Metroplús y continúa la novela entre esta empresa, la Alcaldía de Envigado y los defensores del llamado Túnel verde. Vimos cómo la semana pasada una acción popular, interpuesta por la Red de Defensores del Patromonio del Valle de Aburrá, en contra de la tala de árboles en dicho sector (carrera 43A, entre calles 29A sur y 21 sur), donde se tiene proyectado el tramo 2B de este sistema de trasporte, fue admitida por el Juzgado Trece de Medellín.
La más reciente polémica se vivió en diciembre del 2019, cuando el sonido de las motosierras tomó por sorpresa a los vecinos y miembros del Colectivo Túnel Verde, donde se talaron cerca de 130 árboles. Desde ese día y por cerca de 3 meses, personas de este colectivo acamparon a un costado de la Casa Museo Otraparte con el fin de proteger los demás árboles que quedaban allí.
“Debemos acatar las decisiones”
Hilda Castaño, vocera del Colectivo Túnel Verde, resaltó que la acción fue impulsada por la Red de Defensores del Patrimonio del Valle de Aburrá, la misma que protege los derechos culturales. “Durante todo este tiempo hemos reiterado que la construcción del Metroplús debe estar acompañada por la conservación ambiental. No nos oponemos al proyecto, pero sí pedimos que tenga estos parámetros y haya una comunicación con la comunidad”, dice Castaño.
Desde la Alcaldía de Envigado expresan que hasta no estudiarse el caso por completo no se hará ningún pronunciamiento frente al fallo. Por su parte, James Enrique Gallego, gerente de Metroplús, nos dice que “se deben acatar las decisiones judiciales. La única afectada con esta decisión es la misma ciudadanía, así que los que estén de acuerdo con el proyecto de Metroplús espero que se pronuncien porque ya esto es una falta de respeto con el Estado. El costo era de 15.000 millones, listo, ya esto costará 26.000, muy seguramente”.
Según manifestó el mismo gerente en una pasada entrevista, la reanudación de las obras del tramo 2B sería el 21 de agosto y ya estaban “dadas todas las condiciones” para comenzar de nuevo. “Dicen que no se ha tenido plena comunicación con la comunidad… pero, por Dios, pongámosle sentido común al tema. Son 7 años hablando de un proyecto ya conocido a nivel nacional. Dejemos esto en manos de los jueces y esperemos”.
Así las cosas, la resolución emitida por el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá el 5 de abril de 2019, que permitía talar el corredor verde para reiniciar este proyecto de transporte, entrará nuevamente a una revisión judicial.
