Por primera vez en nuestros 13 años de existencia, una reforma estatuaria modificó la esencia del objeto social, las funciones y actividades de Metroplús, lo cual amplía el espectro que nos permitirá realizar:
- Asesoría, consultoría y capacitación en materia de servicios de transporte público urbano de pasajeros, así como en actividades conexas y complementarias.
- Diseño, construcción y operación de proyectos de infraestructura relacionada con el servicio de transporte público de pasajeros.
- Gestión, asesoraría y estructuración de proyectos de transporte automotor de mediana capacidad.
- Participación en proyectos de innovación y desarrollo relacionados con el fomento, implementación y financiación de nuevas tecnologías en el sector transporte masivo de mediana capacidad.
Con los nuevos estatutos que comenzaron a regir desde comienzos de 2018, hay más claridad en las competencias y especialidades de cada uno de los actores del SITVA; se reconoce a la autoridad de transporte (Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá – AMVA) así como a las demás autoridades locales y nacionales que intervienen en la movilidad, a la vez que posibilita actuaciones directas o en conjunto con otros actores del Sistema a través de convenios o contratos.
De esta manera seguimos construyendo la ruta de la movilidad inteligente para el Valle de Aburrá, donde todos aportamos con nuestro saber y experticia para mejorar las condiciones de desplazamiento y aire de quienes lo habitamos.
