El 13 de julio se inauguró el corredor del Metroplús de la calle 12 Sur. Un tramo que corresponde a 1.6 kilómetros entre las avenidas Guayabal y Regional; el cual conecta a Medellín, Envigado e Itagüí.

El corredor permitió la ampliación de la vía (dos carriles a tres carriles). Además, instauraron un lazo vial de cinco carriles que conecta a la 12 Sur con la Avenida 80 para facilitar el flujo vehicular. Así mismo se construyó un soterrado peatonal de 60 metros de longitud.
