JAIME GARZÓN ARAQUE LIDERARÁ LA NUEVA HOJA DE RUTA PARA METROPLÚS S. A.
- Convertir en poco tiempo a Metroplús en referente de desarrollo y sostenibilidad en sistemas de movilidad de pasajeros en el país, es la meta del nuevo Gerente de la entidad.
- La nueva elección del Gerente en Junta Directiva ordinaria, afianza los procesos administrativos y democráticos propios de la entidad.
- Todas las expectativas se centran en la nueva hoja de ruta que traza Metroplús S. A. de cara al bienestar de los habitantes del Valle de Aburrá.
En la Secretaría de Movilidad de Medellín, ante el presidente de la Junta Directiva de Metroplús S. A., SecretarioCarlos Mario Mejía Múnera, se posesionó el nuevo Gerente de la entidad, Jaime Alberto Garzón Araque, oriundo del municipio de Salgar, suroeste antioqueño; casado con doña Margarita Trujillo Muñoz y padre del abogado y empresario Juan Esteban Garzón Trujillo.
El profesional en Administración de Empresas y Derecho de la Universidad de Medellín y especialista en Derecho Administrativo de la misma institución, posee gran experiencia y trayectoria en el sector público, en el que ejerció como Alcalde por elección popular de Salgar en el año 1988, Diputado del Departamento por tres periodos consecutivos -2004 a 2015-; Secretario de Agricultura y Desarrollo Rural de Antioquia, Secretario General de la Contraloría de Medellín, Subdirector General del Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá, Gerente Liquidador de Acuantioquia, Gerente Administrativo y Financiero de Plaza Mayor Medellín, Profesor de Cátedra de la Universidad de Medellín, entre otros cargos de gran relevancia.
Durante su trabajo profesional ha liderado proyectos y políticas públicas para mejorar la calidad de vida de los antioqueños, en torno al desarrollo rural, la educación, la infraestructura física, el medio ambiente, así como en temas puntuales de cultura y salud.
El nuevo Gerente de Metroplús se propone consolidar a la entidad como una empresa de alto impacto y reconocimiento nacional a través de la regulación de procedimientos internos, buscando una gestión mucho más eficiente; aunado a ello, se ha propuesto generar sentido de pertenencia en los usuarios del sistema con miras a la puesta en operación de las cuencas de Envigado e Itagüí, una vez se haga entrega de manera prioritaria de las obras que se encuentran en proceso en estos municipios.
Asimismo entre sus prioridades, está la tarea de culminar de manera satisfactoria la obra de la 12 Sur, que incluye la implementación de una infraestructura liviana (carriles troncales y pretroncales) que permita soluciones de movilidad en el Valle de Aburrá, al conectar los municipios Medellín, Envigado e Itagüí, mediante buses masivos y demás modos de transporte como el Metro, Encicla y el futuro sistema de la 80.
“Reconozco el conocimiento adquirido por la empresa Metroplús S. A. en sus 16 años de experiencia y es por ello que me propongo potencializarlo, buscando alternativas en las regiones del departamento y del país, con el fin de conservar un sistema sostenible, mediante estrategias de desarrollo en torno a las inversiones de movilidad masiva y a la consecución de nuevos proyectos en materia de infraestructura, planeación y construcción de vías, como es el caso actual en el que se viene ejecutando 2.2 kms de vía en el corregimiento San José de Apartadó”, expresó el Gerente Garzón Araque.
Adicional a ello, se trabajará muy fuertemente para buscar la integración de los municipios socios en alternativas de desarrollo sostenible para la empresa y sus territorios, sumándose a la búsqueda de una mayor coordinación metropolitana en el sistema de transporte masivo, con el fin de que todos los municipios del Área Metropolitana logren una efectiva, eficiente y eficaz prestación del servicio y operación de los sistemas de transporte de pasajeros.
Todo lo anterior haciendo uso del recién creado Distrito de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación propuesta articulada en la Medellín Futuro como alternativa fundamental para posicionar el conocimiento de la empresa y la capacidad en la generación de mejores, más eficientes y más limpias tecnologías de transporte en el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá.
Es así como el nuevo Gerente de Metroplús proyecta convertir en poco tiempo a la empresa, en un referente de desarrollo y sostenibilidad en sistemas de movilidad de pasajeros en el país.
