Mientras el proyecto que busca darle continuidad a las obras de Metroplús sobre la 12Sur quedó en la mitad de su ejecución desde hace más de un año, las directivas de la entidad definen detalles para continuar con la intervención que conecta a los municipios del Sur del Valle de Aburrá.

En las próximas semanas podría haber luz verde en el proyecto de Metroplús en Aguacatala. Esta entidad encargada de la ejecución de los proyectos del sistema de transporte logró destrabar los recursos necesarios para que los nuevos contratistas reanuden las obras en los próximos días.

Durante más de un año y medio está detenida la obra debido a incumplimientos de los anteriores contratistas. Aunque la pandemia dificultó los trámites para gestionar los recursos, ya hay luz verde con el nuevo contratista, Unión Temporal del Sur, que deberá seguir con la construcción.

Según Metroplús, el proyecto no tiene sobrecostos. La obra se ejecuta por más de 22 mil 900 millones de pesos.

Metroplús sobre la 12 Sur está comprendida en 1.8 kilómetros entre las Avenidas El Poblado y Guayabal, que permitirá conectar a los municipios de Medellín, Envigado e Itagüí.
