El tramo incluye tres carriles en cada calzada. Según la alcaldía no hubo graves impactos al Túnel Verde. Ciudadanos sienten alivio por la movilidad.
Como un “pequeño gran paso” fue calificada ayer la entrega que hicieron la Alcaldía de Envigado y la empresa Metroplús de los 630 metros del tramo 2B sobre la avenida El Poblado, entre la calle 21 sur (sector Euro) y la calle 25B sur (Pecositas). Y fue considerado así porque evidencia cómo, poco a poco, se hace realidad el proyecto de ver pasar los buses articulados por este municipio.
Las obras en esta parte del corredor iniciaron el 15 de marzo de 2021 y han sido ejecutadas por las firmas AIA Arquitectos e Ingenieros Asociados. Estas tuvieron un costo aproximado de $22.500 millones y comprendieron una doble calzada de tres carriles a cada lado, la renovación del separador central y la adecuación de 3.250 metros cuadrados de espacio público que ahora es iluminado con lámparas LED. Además trasplantaron 207 árboles, sembraron otros 117 árboles y más de 10.200 plantas ornamentales.
Entrega agridulce
De acuerdo con el alcalde Braulio Espinosa, la entrega dejó un sabor agridulce pues se da nueve años después de iniciar las obras, luego de atravesar dos suspensiones en 2014 y en 2020.
“Han pasado cinco alcaldes y tres gerentes de Metroplús. Esta obra se debió terminar hace siete años, porque fue adjudicada hace nueve años y medio. Puede ser normal en otras ciudades entregar medio kilómetro, pero en Envigado no”, apuntó el mandatario.
Espinosa advirtió que la suspensión de las obras por espacio de seis años a raíz de la polémica por las afectaciones al Túnel Verde de la zona —así como los imprevistos por adecuaciones de redes subterráneas que no estaban estipuladas originalmente— puede traducirse en cerca de $20.000 millones, los cuales deberá asumir la municipalidad.
“Esta obra no se podía detener y el daño que se le hizo a la ciudad al pararla es gigantesco. Se usó información equivocada y en muchos momentos falsa para detenerla, y vean, acá se conserva la mayoría del Túnel Verde. La oposición no le ha hecho igual fuerza a los avances y bondades del proyecto”, dijo Espinosa.
El alcalde indicó que –dados los retrasos de las obras y el incremento en los valores de los materiales– el dinero que se tenía pensado invertir en las obras físicas de las estaciones diseminadas en los 3,7 kilómetros que comprende el corredor debió invertirse en la adecuación de las vías para los vehículos del Metroplús, por lo que según él la próxima administración envigadeña tendría que hallar el modo de conseguir los recursos para hacer las estaciones.
Hoy también avanza la búsqueda de recursos adicionales, para lo cual han dialogado con el Gobierno Nacional. En caso de que no los consigan, dijo el alcalde, le toca a la otra administración financiar las estaciones, lo que en su consideración es un reflejo de las pérdidas del proyecto por el cese de seis años.
Garantías para Túnel Verde
Algunos miembros de la comunidad agradecieron el nuevo tramo entregado y resaltaron sus bondades. “Este es una zona que es usada como ‘caminadero’ y con los arreglos hechos ha quedado ideal y más si se tiene en cuenta que la zona está habitada por personas de la tercera edad”, apuntó Alfredo Tamayo, veedor ciudadano de las obras.
Tamayo indicó que para él no solo hay garantías para cuidar y proteger el Túnel Verde en lo que resta de las obras, sino también para aumentar su tamaño, lo que influiría en un mejor ambiente para los vecinos.
