- La inversión adicional del Distrito es de $8.000 millones para una de las obras que darán paso a la conexión entre varias líneas de transporte público y el Metro de la 80.
-El proyecto avanza en un 60 % y se entregará en marzo de 2023. Además, en los próximos días se habilitará el costado norte, para dar paso a la intervención en el costado sur.
La Alcaldía de Medellín, a través de la Secretaría de Infraestructura Física, adicionó recursos por $8.000 millones necesarios para finalizar el proyecto Metroplús en la calle 12 sur, que va desde la carrera 51 (Avenida Guayabal) hasta el estribo occidental del puente de La Aguacatala. En total, $6.311 millones se destinarán para la culminación del soterrado peatonal, la instalación de redes hidráulicas y sanitarias, las redes de alumbrado público, la señalización y semaforización, el espacio público, el acero de refuerzo y la pavimentación de vías. Los $1.688 millones restantes serán para el proceso de interventoría.
El soterrado peatonal, bajo el puente vehicular de la calle 12 sur sobre el río Medellín, es uno de los principales frentes. Tendrá una longitud promedio de 28.25 metros por 10 metros de ancho, a lo largo del cruce de la vía, el cual será un eje de conexión que permitirá el acceso de peatones a la estación Aguacatala del metro y a las futuras estaciones Aguacatala del sistema de buses Metroplús y estación del Metro de la 80.
“Agradecemos a la Alcaldía de Medellín, en especial a la Secretaría de Infraestructura Física, por arbitrar los recursos que eran necesarios para terminar este gran proyecto y poner en funcionamiento el soterrado peatonal, que comunicará el corredor con la estación Aguacatala, convirtiéndose en un gran nodo de transferencia de pasajeros. Así mismo, se invertirá en iluminación de última generación, semaforización, amoblamiento urbano y módulos para el sector comercial, convirtiéndose en un cruce dinámico y seguro. Es así como culminaremos y entregaremos la obra en marzo de 2023”, manifestó el gerente de Metroplús, Jaime Alberto Garzón Araque.
La ejecución de la obra va en un 60 % y, en próximos días, se habilitará el costado norte, en el que se han venido finalizando las actividades de llenos de estructura de pavimento y compactación de las bases granulares de la vía, la construcción de las cámaras subterráneas para las redes de telecomunicaciones y las acometidas de acueducto domiciliario de locales comerciales del sector. Así mismo, se terminaron las últimas excavaciones profundas para la red de alcantarillado y tubería para agua potable y la instalación de refuerzo y construcción de separadores sobre muro norte de acceso al soterrado.
